Community Rules & Participation Standards

These Community Rules & Participation Standards exist to ensure a welcoming, respectful, and safe experience for everyone who participates in Connective Gatherings events.

To participate in Connective Gatherings events, members are expected to review and agree to these Community Rules & Participation Standards.

Purpose

Connective Gatherings exists to facilitate social connection through organized events in a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment.

These rules & standards apply to:

  • All members
  • All event attendees
  • All events (free, donation-based, and premium)
  • All venues and public or private locations

Respectful Conduct

All participants are expected to:

  • Treat others, hosts, and venues with courtesy and respect
  • Refrain from harassment, intimidation, discrimination, or hostile behavior
  • Avoid disruptive, aggressive, or confrontational conduct

Hate speech, threats, or discriminatory behavior are not tolerated.

Boundaries & Personal Safety

Respect personal boundaries at all times.

  • No unwanted physical contact, sexual advances, or persistent attention
  • If someone expresses discomfort or disinterest, it must be respected immediately

Violations of personal boundaries may result in immediate removal.

Alcohol, Substances & Behavior

  • Excessive intoxication is not permitted
  • Illegal substances are prohibited
  • Participants must remain capable of respectful and appropriate conduct

Hosts may remove participants if behavior becomes unsafe or disruptive.

Venue, Event & Legal Compliance

Participants must:

  • Follow venue rules and staff instructions
  • Obey all local, state, and federal laws
  • Follow any event-specific guidelines

Participants are responsible for their own purchases, transportation, and personal safety.

Organizer & Host Authority

  • Event hosts and organizers are authorized to manage events
  • Hosts may deny attendance or remove participants to preserve a positive group environment
  • Organizer decisions are final and not subject to debate during events

Participation & Assumption of Risk

  • Participation is voluntary
  • Participants are responsible for their own actions
  • Attendance is at each participant's own discretion and risk

Connective Gatherings does not provide supervision, instruction, or professional services.

Enforcement & Removal

Violations of these rules may result in:

  • A warning
  • Removal from an event
  • Temporary or permanent removal from the group

Serious or repeated violations may result in immediate action without warning.

Discretion

Connective Gatherings reserves the right to:

  • Deny participation
  • Cancel attendance
  • Remove individuals from events or the group

This discretion is exercised to protect participants, hosts, venues, and the community as a whole.
